The security at the Rajputana Sheraton hotel where the teams are staying has suddenly become less impregnable, coinciding with the departure of the Indian players following their Champions Trophy match against England.
A large posse of local policemen and the hotel's own security guards had been manning the two gates of the hotel until Monday, but the number of personnel was scaled down Tuesday after the last of the Indian players left. Some of the players had left a day after India won by four wickets here Sunday night.
The rest of the teams visiting Jaipur are also staying at the same hotel. Pakistan has been here for a week now, besides Sri Lanka and England, while the Australians are due for their match against England Saturday.
