A guide to choosing travel friendly footwear.
Be comfortable: When travelling, give priority to comfort over style for footwear. Avoid bulky shoes as they can be taxing on the feet.
Relaxation is important: It is important to choose a footwear which keeps you relaxed while in transit. The feet, especially the toes, tend to swell up when the footwear is tight. The discomfort can in turn make your entire trip irritating.
Keep it light: When travelling, wear footwear that’s easy to carry and do not require too much maintenance.
Multipurpose footwear: Instead of carrying multiple shoes, try to carry a multipurpose informal shoe or sandal that you can wear both while travelling as well as for that evening party or dinner you have to attend. However, it is important that this multipurpose footwear is sturdy and durable as this is all that you can rely upon.
Light-weight footwear: For travel, lighter the footwear, the more easier it gets for a traveller. However, make sure your foot wear is well-padded. Avoid heels.
