1. Outdoor wonder:
If your garden furniture have rust or other waste caked on, you can apply a scratchy sponge or steel wool for cleaning. Warm water and mild soap will work for wrought iron, wicker, wood, and acrylic.
2. Brush off:
Dirt particles can just be brushed off with a nylon-bristled brush or broom. Also, use the garden hose to wash away stuck-on dust, dirt, grime, bird droppings and residue.
3. Right solution:
Clean, polish and protect aluminum furniture with a soft cloth dipped in water-and-vinegar solution. Avoid abrasive materials to avoid scratching the aluminum.
4. Protect it:
Polish and protect metal and plastic furniture with a couple of thin coats of car wax on all the exposed areas. Protect wood furniture by repainting.
5. Spot the signs:
Check the integrity of painted metal furniture. When rust develops or bubbles and irregularities appear on the painted surface, consider restoration before the situation worsens.
