Wanna impress your spouse with breakfast in bed? Here are some simple tips to prepare an exotic French omelette.
1. Mix the eggs with a little salt and pepper in a bowl and beat well. But do not over-beat.
2.Over medium flame, heat a deep pan until it is quite hot. Add some butter and swirl it around so the base and sides are all coated. When the butter foams, pour the eggs into the pan. Cook the eggs for about 30 seconds.
3. As the egg mixture starts to set on the bottom, gently lift the edge with a spatula and tilt the pan to let the uncooked egg run underneath. If it seems to be cooking too quickly, lift the pan off the heat or turn down the flame.
4. After the base is set, to add grated cheese or other fillings if you were doing so. Use a spatula to fold one edge of the omelette over the other. Do this such that the fold of the omelette is in line with the handle.
5. Roll half of the omelette onto a plate, then flip the pan so that the other half covers the first half. Now, carefully slide the omelette out of the pan and serve with garnishing.
