How to solve electricity woes

There is a serious power supply problem in the state, but many faults can be resolved at local level. Here's how a complaint can be registered!

There is a serious power supply problem in the state, but many faults can be resolved at local level. Here's how a complaint can be registered:

Option 1: Online registration

1. Log on to discom DHBVN's website

2. Click on the icon 'What's New' on the right top corner of the home page

3. Click on the first option 'Consumer Grievance Redressal System'

4. Click on 'Register Your Grievance Online' and fill up the form

5. Click on submit

Option 2: E-mail

1. Open our email account

2. Write down your complaint and send it to pgrsgurgaondhbvn@gmail.com

Option 3: Written letter

1. Write down your account details and complaint

2. Post the letter to SE/OP DHBVN Gurgaon or give it by hand to the nearest DHBVN office

Option 4: Telephone

1. You can call on the Public Redressal Forum number 01662-223081 and register your complaint

2. You can call on toll-free number 1912 to file your complaint

3. DHBVN has five mobile numbers where you can call - 9990301912, 9891901912, 9911621912, 9911131912 and 9540954970

4. You can also register your complaint on (0124) 2313499,2302847, 2314331 and 2314332

Here's how the electricity bill can be paid:

Option 1: Spot billing

1. A DHBVN official will come to your residence and generate your bill from the meter reading on the spot with an SVM device

2. You are free to pay the bill to the official via cash or cheque. Ask the official for the details to be filled in the cheque and deposit it.

Note: If you are not at home at the time of the official spot billing, he will leave the bill in the letterbox or at your doorstep. You then have the following options for paying the bill.

Option 2: Online payment

1. Log on to discom DHBVN's website: www.dhbvn.com

2. You will be asked for a login ID. Register yourself.

3. Click on the 'What's New' link on the top right corner of the page.

4. Scroll to the end of the list and click on the 'Online Payment and Billing Details of Sub-Divisions' option.

5. Click on the first option for residents of Faridabad, Gurgaon and Hisar.

6. You can fill in your details in the 'consumer information' column in the left side of the page or click on the last option of online services to pay your bill with debit/ credit card.

Option 3: SDO office

1. Carry along: your credit, debit card, cash, cheque (your mode of payment) and the electricity bill.

2. Visit any cash counter at the SDO office of DHBVN and pay the bill.

Option 4: Easy Bill payment

1. Must carry: your credit, debit card, cash, cheque (your mode of payment) and the electricity bill.

2. Visit any Easy Bill counter in the city. There are many conveniently located spots in city markets that can save your time.

Option 5: HESL counter

1. Carry along: your credit, debit card, cash, cheque (your mode of payment) and the electricity bill.

2. Visit any Haryana Ex-Servicemen League (HESL) counter in Gurgaon.

Note: DHBVN does spot billing for bulk connections in the high-rise apartments and plotted houses in Gurgaon.
