The district health authorities have confirmed a case of swine flu, while eight other young police recruits are suspected to be infected.
Sadhu Ram, whose H1N1 infection was confirmed on Monday had been shifted to the PGI, Rohtak. Doctors said that his condition is stable.
The district malaria officer Dr Anita Aggarwal on Wednesday confirmed that all detected cases were new recruits and posted at different places in the national capital region (NCR).
They had come to Karnal last week to attend a commando training camp.
Dr Aggarwal said that two cops namely-Arshad Khan and Sumit Kumar were admitted at the Kalpana Chalwa Government Medical College here as they complained of high fever.
But their health was improving and were at the isolation ward, said the medical office.
"We have examined all 376 policemen deputed at the commando complex and provided preventive medication to them. Situation is under control and we are waiting for the slide report of other recruits," she said.
