Recovery of a human skeleton, skull and bones has led to the arrest of a scientific laboratory goods supplier, police said on Sunday.

Police recovered human bones and a skull from the house of Sanjeev Chauhan who admitted that he was into sales of human body parts.

Police swung into action after a television sting operation telecast on Saturday raised fears of large-scale organ sales in the tourist city and its possible link with Noida serial killings.

The Uttar Pradesh forest department officials also got involved with the dig and search process as bones and horns of wild animals were discovered from Chauhan's Gokulpura house.

The police recovered some human bones from his office near the Panch Kuian graveyard in Agra on Saturday.

Police said there were reports that Chauhan was trading in human body parts.

Senior officials including Senior Superintendent of Police GK Goswami and city Superintendent of Police Anil Rai carried out a raid at his other premises where they found a heap of human bones.

A whole human skeleton was also found which Chauhan claimed was of plastic. The store had drums full of skeletons and bones including that of fish, frogs and some other animals.
