Art lovers in the Millennium City will get a chance to see paintings of legendary painter MF Husain and several other celebrated artists under one roof. The art exhibition, Collectibles, will showcase the masterpieces of many renowned painters, including Samir Mandal of Bollywood blockbuster Taare Zameen Par fame.

An array of canvasses splashed with varied colours by artists like Akbar Padamsee, Sidhharth, Sanjay Bhattacharya, Laxma Goud, and T Vaikuntam would be on display at The Epicentre from October 28 to November 3.

Most of the works to be showcased at the exhibition are figurative while a few of them are abstract.

Artists have used various mediums like oil painting, water colour and acrylic to express themselves. “This is for the first time I am showing my work in the Millennium City. I feel that the city of young people also has passion and a taste for art,” said Mandal.

Another participant Sanjay Bhattacharya also feels that Gurgaon is the right place for such exhibitions “as one could find many buyers here and people have knowledge about art”.

According to Priyank Jain, curator of the exhibition, the initiative is aimed at bringing the works of these renowned artists under one roof “so that people can actually see how they put their emotions on canvass”. “Buyers can also avail some of the best deals during the week-long exhibition,” he said.
