Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday said he believed a special day like Valentine’s was not needed to show that you care about somebody but has “no problem” with those celebrating the occasion.
When asked about his Valentine, 38-year-old scion of the Nehru-Gandhi family said, “I do not believe in Valentine’s Day, at the same time I have no problem with people celebrating it.
“I don’t particularly believe that you need one day like Valentine’s Day to show that you care for people. At the same time I don’t have problem with people celebrating Valentine’s Day,” he told reporters in Surat.
Rahul said he did not support “being aggressive” to people who believe in celebrating the day.
