On the murderer
Some animal killed my daughter and he is still out there in the open. I will fight till the end to get justice for my family.
On husband’s arrest and police theory
He is innocent. I will back him till the last moment. Do you think a father can sleep through the night after killing his daughter and leaving her body in the adjacent room? Do you think I would not come to know if that was the case? He was shattered after Aarushi’s death. His arrest has just made it worse. I don’t think he will ever recover from the shock.
On husband’s relation with daughter
They were so close that at times she would share her school secrets only with him. He used to dote on her. Even if he didn’t like something, he never scolded her directly. He would ask me to convey it softly. He never forced her to do anything. Ours is a close-knit family and never had any problems.
On the Duranis
They have nothing to do with this. We know the Duranis from the time Aarushi was born. Their daughter was also born around the same time and both the girls were very close. They are like an extended family and after our parents, they are the family we trust. In fact, Aarushi stayed with them when we had to go out for long. She was a daughter to them.
On allegations that she, family, could be shielding her husband
It’s all nonsense, utter nonsense. Do you think a mother would protect a husband who killed her daughter? She would be an animal, not a human being.
On Hemraj and his alleged closeness to her daughter
In his mid forties, Hemraj had grandsons in his village and was seen as an elderly person in our house. I never had any problems with him. I don’t believe he was close to Aarushi in the sense it is being projected right now. He cared for her a lot.
On whether Hemraj got close to Aarushi
We cared for her so much and gave her all the time in the world.
On what she thinks happened that day
I have no idea. Initially I though it was Hemraj, but when his body was found I thought someone did it out of enmity.
On the next action
I will fight the case and continue to support my husband who has been framed by the police.
