An Indian Airlines flight bound for Port Blair with 114 passengers returned back in Chennai due to inclement weather in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
An Indian Airlines flight bound for Port Blair with 114 passengers returned back in Chennai on Monday due to inclement weather and heavy rainfall in Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The flight IC-549 departed to Port Blair from Chennai by 6 am on Monday. However, due to heavy rainfall and bad weather at Port Blair, the flight was diverted back to Chennai, airport officials said.

The flight came back to Chennai at 9.50 am on Monday, they said. Alternate arrangements have been made to accommodate the passengers, they added. A Jet Airways flight bound from Chennai to Port Blair has also been cancelled, they said.
