The CBI prosecutor said the investigation is at a crucial stage and Mukerjea could tamper with witnesses and evidence if granted bail

The prosecution on Wednesday concluded its arguments against media baron Peter Mukerjea’s bail application, alleging he was also a conspirator in the murder of Sheena Bora.

The CBI prosecutor said the investigation is at a crucial stage and Mukerjea could tamper with witnesses and evidence if granted bail. Meanwhile, Peter’s lawyer Abad Ponda said Mukerjea’s letter to Indrani on his birthday was intentionally leaked to the media.

“Mukerjea had written a letter as Indrani was depressed. It was just to comfort her,” Ponda told court.
