THE INDIAN Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I) launched the post-graduate certificate programme in sales and marketing - a one-year-long broadband based executive education programme — at its auditorium on Sunday.
The participants were told about the role of a brand in business, the process of brand building and how branding helps in developing an image for the product and company. Brands help in developing recognition and a value promise for the firm. It is a surety in the business of branding that the competitors will come back to you with a better programme.
Programme chairman Dr Tapan K Panda welcomed the participants and briefed about the content, process pedagogy to be followed by the institute. He spoke about the value of this course in shaping the career of an executive.
IIM-I chief administrative officer Subrata K Mishra spoke about the goals of executives in the current corporate world and how important it is to get quality professional education to face future challenges. Mishra also elaborated the rules and regulations of the programme.
Fifty-two executives from different parts of the country are attending the programme. This is the institute’s second programme in line with the one-year post graduate certificate programme in general management launched on November 26, 2006.
