IMA national convention from Feb 9

THE INDORE Management Association will hold its flagship event — IMA National Management Convention 2007 — on the theme ‘Business Renaissance: Innovative Architecture for tomorrow’ on February 9-10 at Abhay Prashal. CEOs, academicians, eminent personalities from India and abroad will share their views and experiences at the meet.

Indore Management Association vice-president Rakesh Jain informed that the national management convention has been receiving overwhelming response from corporate houses and business schools of the country. Indore Management Association had introduced ‘Partner Country Concept’ in 2001 and its international partner for this year’s convention is Zimbabwe.

Highlight of the inaugural session of the convention will be the address by Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd managing director Dr E Shreedharan.

Shreedharan will be conferred the IMA Lifetime Outstanding Achievement Award 2006. Representative from international partner (Zimbabwe) Peter Madara and All India Management Association president Subir Raha, will also address the session.

The second session of the inaugural day will focus on ‘Converting Ideas into Wealth’ and the speakers will include NICCO Corporation Ltd chairman Rajive Kaul and Tata Consultancy Services vice-president Pankaj M Baliga.

The theme of the third session will be ‘Converting Customer Value into Corporate Value’ and Ogilvy & Mather country head (planning) Madhukar Sabnavis, Ambience Publicis vice-president Vikas Kumar and Business India consulting editor A Thothathri Raman will throw light on the subject.

Alyque Padamsee, advertising guru and theatre personality, will express his thoughts on  ‘Ideas Explosion’ at the fourth and concluding session of the inaugural day.

The second day of the convention will begin with the theme ‘Financial Engineering into Big Bang’. Haribhakti Group managing partner and CEO Shailesh Haribhakti and Vygon India CEO Pawan Choudhary will throw light on ‘Converting People into Human Capital.’
