India has bagged the coveted Bronze Lion Award at the International Advertising Festival held at Cannes for the "Incredible India campaign".
It is the first time the Ministry of Tourism has received the award for its creativity on Taj Mahal which was used in the Incredible India campaign in the international market.
The festival was held in France during June 15-21 this year.
India also walked away with the World Travel Award-2008 for the leading destination in Asia, at the "Asia and India Ocean" ceremony held in Shanghai on June 19.
The World Travel Award has been launched in 1993 to acknowledge and recognise excellence in the world's travel and tourism industry.
