India needs a strong leadership to tackle terror which is frequently rearing its ugly head due to soft approach of those at the helm of country's affairs, a VHP leader said in Chandigarh on Sunday.
The country needs a strong and brave leadership to stamp out the terror menace, VHP leader Ritambhra told a function in Chandigarh.
"We have seen so many terror attacks. Instead of acting firmly, we are adopting a soft approach to tackle the scourge," she said.
Even the death sentence awarded to Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru was yet to be carried out, she said.
The VHP leader accused politicians of double speak and double standards on the terror issue.
Ritambhra demanded scrapping of Article 370 granting special status to Jammu and Kashmir and implementation of the Uniform Civil Code in the country.
