Jammu and Kashmir CPI(M) on Wednesday said both India and Pakistan should resume the peace process stalled after the Mumbai attacks and resolve all outstanding issues.

"The peace process should not be allowed to go on the back burner because of isolated incidents of violence," state secretary of CPI (M) MY Tarigami said at a conference of Kisan tehrik at Anantnag, 55 km from Srinagar.

Tarigami said the people of Jammu and Kashmir, especially farmers are worst hit by Indo-Pak hostility and turmoil in the state.

He also alleged that benefits of both Central and state schemes have not reached farmers due to faulty implementation.
