India has gone up one place in the latest LG ICC ODI Championship table following its win over England in the ICC Champions Trophy.
India are now at the fourth place with 112 points. Also on 112 points are New Zealand, who have been ranked fifth as per the latest ICC rankings released on Sunday.
Victory over West Indies and Australia in the remaining group games of the tournament could see Team India move another notch up.
The hosts play Sri Lanka in Ahmedabad on Thursday in an effort to secure safe passage to the semi-finals of the competition.
Meanwhile, South African captain Graeme Smith and West Indian all-rounder Chris Gayle are using the ICC Champions Trophy to put pressure on the Australian pair of Mike Hussey and Adam Gilchrist at the top of the LG ICC rankings for ODI batsmen.
In rankings for batsmen, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, who is ranked 10th, is the lone Indian among the top 10.
Among the bowlers, Harbhajan Singh is ranked ninth, while Irfan Pathan is at number 10.
