Indian Air Force turns 81, celebrations held

Air Force station, Udhampur, celebrated the 81st anniversary of the Air Force on Tuesday. An oath-ceremony administered by station commander group captain Devendra P Hirani was held wherein all air warriors took a solemn pledge to serve the nation to the best of their ability.

Various activities were organised on the occasion by students from different schools and of Government Women College.

The lady officers shared their views and prospects in IAF. The Udhampur AF base is instrumental in supporting the troops of Northern Command of the army deployed in the forward areas of the J&K sector.

The base gives service in relief and rescue operations to civilians during natural calamities in the region on the requisition of the state administration.
