india Updated: May 28, 2009 08:26 IST

SS Rajsekar, a first generation entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in real estate promotion and trade, has been appointed as Honorary Lieutenant Governor of the State of Alabama.

The Lt Gov of Alabama Jim Folsom in Montgomery presented Rajsekar, who was here recently to promote National Agro Foundation, with a certificate appointing him as Honorary Lt Gov of the State last week.

Earlier, Rajsekar made a presentation to the Lt Gov on the work done by National Agro Foundation, which highly impressed Folsom.

He also made presentation to the Alabama Commissioner of Agriculture Ron Sparks, who made time despite his busy gubernatorial campaign schedule to learn about NAF.

Impressed by the presentation Sparks invited Rajsekar to return to Alabama, spend more time with him and make a presentation to the Conference of State Agriculture Commissioners (of the 50 states) to be held in Alabama in September this year.

Besides visiting the Auburn University, Rajsekar also made a presentation on NAF work before the Rotary Club of Downtown Birmingham. The law firm of Haskell Slaughter Young and Rediker in Birmingham Alabama organized his visits.
