Four workers including an Indian died and 60 others were injured when a major fire engulfed a skyscraper under construction here.
The fire broke out Thursday at the 37-storey Fortune Tower being built on Shaikh Zayed Road in downtown Dubai. An estimated 300 people, mostly construction workers of Indian origin, were at work then.
"The fire started in the electricity and sewage pipes in the upper floors," the Daily Gulf News reported. The cause of the fire is not clear.
One of the dead was identified as Hamza from Kerala, a Rashid Hospital spokesman told Khaleej Times.
