Indian Army win team gold medal

THE SHOOTING team of Indian Army won the team gold medal with 1729 points at the 50th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) held at CR-1 shooting range of the Infantry School, Mhow.

THE SHOOTING team of Indian Army won the team gold medal with 1729 points at the 50th National Shooting Championship Competitions (NSCC) held at CR-1 shooting range of the Infantry School, Mhow.

Chhattisgarh team with Navin Jindal scored 1539 points to take silver and Maharashtra team having Nana Patekar hit 1537 points to win the bronze medal.

Lahreet Singh broke the national record of 559 points by scoring 573 points in the Big Bore Standard Rifle 3 position (men-services). Major Birmati broke the national record of 514 points in the Big Bore Standard Rifle 3 position (women individual) by scoring 537 points.

A D Peoples broke the third national record by scoring 574 points against the previous record of 574 points in the Big Bore Standard Rifle 3 position (men individual).

The prize distribution ceremony was organized on Thursday at the range. Infantry School Commandant Maj Gen Anand Mohan Verma gave away the prizes. In the individual events, Sub Sukhdev Singh won the gold medal by scoring 592 points in Big Bore Standard Rifle Prone (men) and Hav Ratan Singh (585 points) and Hav Rajendra Singh (584 points) won the silver and bronze medals respectively.

In the Big Bore 300 m Rifle 3 Position (men), Sub Sukhdev Singh won the gold medal by scoring 1124 points and C R Das (1076 points) and Rajendra Singh (1065 points) won the silver and bronze medals respectively. In the Big Bore 300 m Rifle prone (women), G Suchitra Devi won the gold medal by scoring 561 points while Birmati (545 points) and J Sophia (534 points) won the silver and bronze medals respectively.

In the Big Bore 300 m Rifle 3 Position (women), Birmati won the gold medal by scoring 537 points while G Suchitra Devi (520 points) and J Sophia (489 points) won the silver and bronze medals respectively.

In the Big Bore 300 m Rifle 3 Position (men), Lalhriet Sang won the gold medal by scoring 573 points while Imran Hasan Khan (571 points) and Sushil Ghale (563 points) won the silver and bronze medals respectively.

A D Peoples won the gold medal by scoring 574 points in the Big Bore 300 m Rifle Prone Position (men) and Amrik Singh with 508 points won the silver medal.
