Indian killed in Nepal

An Indian national was shot dead allegedly by his Indian business associate, while another was on Sunday robbed in southern Nepal.

Zakir, a trader from Gorakhpur, was gunned down by an armed gang last night at Manpura village in Kapilvastu district, police said.

The police caught one Brajesh Patel carrying bullets in a suspicious condition in this connection.

However, Patel told the police that another man, also from Gorakhpur named Santosh Singh who fled the scene after the incident, was behind the murder. The police are investigating the matter.

In another incident, an Indian was robbed of Rs 3 lakh at a village in Saptari district on Sunday as he came out of a bank carrying a bag filled with the cash.

A gang robbed Pulkit Shah from India of Rs 3 lakh he was carrying after he came out of Rastriya Banijya Bank, according to a private TV channel.
