Indian karting drivers representing Rayo Racing put in impressive performances in the support events of the final round of the CIK FIA KF1 World Championship at Macau on Saturday.

Sahara Force India Academy driver Jehan Daruvala dominated qualifying practice in the CIK FIA Asia Pacific KF3 Championship and took pole position for today's race.

Newly crowned FMSCI National Karting champion Ameya Bafna won the pre-final of the Macau Cup.

Raj Ganatra, the 2011 champion in the Rotax Senior, Asian Kart Open Championship finished the Macau Cup pre-final in 11th place after starting 17th. All three drivers will be in action in their respective categories today.

"I have been the fastest all weekend, this is all thanks to the hard work put in by everyone at the 'Sahara Force India Academy' over the last few months." Said a focussed Jehan at the end of the day.

"This is one of the most competitive international races I have driven in. The laptimes on the top are really close & the entire team has put in a lot of hard work over the weekend. Unfortunately I was held up by a backmarker, but I had a good race & still managed to win" said Ameya.

"This is one of the most important karting events in the world. Loads of people in motorsport will be following what is happening here at the World Championship. It is fantastic to see the Indian Flag on top in 2 out of the 3 categories at stake on the time sheets. It shows the world that Indian Motorsport is definitely coming of age in other areas. The biggest teams are here & it would be fantastic if we can have a similar result on day 2" said Rayomand Banajee of Rayo Racing which is fielding all 3 drivers.
