The official website of the Indore police was on Thursday allegedly hacked for some time, sources said.
However, it was restored soon after complaints and has started functioning normally, they said.
"We received complaints that the police website has been hacked, following which the matter is being investigated," Police spokesman Sudhir Sharma said.
"We don't have much knowledge about the website hacking," Police Cyber Cell Chief Jitendra Singh said.
If the website has been hacked, the accused will be arrested soon after a probe, he said.
The material on the website is uploaded at the Senior Superintendent of Police office by the policemen posted there.
