CLASSIC 186 by Parth Sahani helped Indore division pile up 492 in the first innings and in reply, Bhopal division was struggling at 114/5 at the end of second day's play in the A W Kanmadikar Trophy U-15 cricket tournament being played at the Daly College grounds on Tuesday.
Resuming the overnight score of 371/5, Indore division added 121 runs for the last five wickets. Parth was unlucky to miss his second double century by just 14 runs. He scored 186 runs in 213 balls with 33 hits to the fence.
This was his third consecutive century in division-level match. Kunal Babbar scored 28 runs with four boundaries and Rajat Patidar made 26 runs with five boundaries. Saransh Jain contributed 20 with three boundaries. Vishal Chouhan bowled well to capture six wickets for 163 runs while Tanmay Patwardhan took two wickets for 131.
In reply, Bhopal are not in a good position. At the end of second day's play, Bhopal were struggling at 114/5. Abhishek Singh batted brilliantly to score a patient 54. Aditya Shrivatsav scored 23 runs. Nitin was batting on three and Abhishek was yet to open his account. Saransh Jain bowled precisely to capture two wickets.
The hosts need just five wickets to take first innings lead and win A W Kanmadikar Trophy from Bhopal who were the last year champions.
