Industrial Workers strike enters into eight day

The strike of the workers over the alleged violation of the Labour Law against the management of Indian Technomac Pvt ltd located at Jagatpura village in the Paonta Sahib sub-division entered into eight dayon Friday. A tension between the striking workers and the labourers called from outside by the company prevailed but the matter was later resolved after the intervention of the labour department.

The management of the company had called 50 workers from outside resources pertaining to ongoing strike of workers due to which the striking workers resented therefore a chance of conflict aroused. The striking workers Bhanu Partap, Rajinder Sharma and Basant Singh during the spot visit alleged that company was violating the labour law since long time and was not even paying salary on time.

They also said that provident fund was being deducted from their salaries since past five years but PF slip was not being issued.

According to sources, a dialogue between the striking workers and management continued till filing of this report.

Meanwhile, the company management refused to comment over the ongoing strike.

On the other, district labour officer Jitender Bindra, confirming the conflict, said the company was immediately directed not to induct outside workers. He also informed that the company had assured to pay pending dues till May on Saturday and added that the case was being looked by Paonta Sahib labour inspector.
