The 'shakti rally' of Haryana Pradesh Congress Committee (HPCC), which is going to be organised at Gohana here on November 10, will be historic, spokesperson of District Congress Committee (DCC) Dharamvir Goyat said here on Thrusday.
HPCC president Phool Chand Mullana and other leaders are touring the state to make the rally a great success.
The party workers were enthusiastic about the rally, Goyat said while addressing a meeting at Congress Bhawan here on Friday.
Goyat said: "There is no discrimination on the basis of districts or region in the matters of development or providing jobs to the youths. The statistics of expenditure and number of jobs given district-wise is evident that the government did not prefer or ignore any district."
"The Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) and Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) are regional parties and functioning like "shops" to collect funds from the people, he said, adding, "the development work done during the past seven years is more than the work done in the state during the last 40 years."
In reply to a question about dissidence in the party he said, "In a large and democratic party like Congress, difference of opinion and right to express exist simultaneously but it does not mean that there is faction or division in the party."
