Inmate committed suicide in Sonepat Jail

The spectre of controversies in Sonepat Jail continue to haunt tall claims of government of security of jail as another inmate, Parmod of village Badhmalik in Sonepat district, committed suicide in his barrack by hanging himself with a piece of his cloth on Wednesday.

Parmod was one of inmate, who was re-arrested by Sonepat police on February 2 after he escaped with another seven inmates from jail complex in Sonepat on January 18 this year.

Parmod was facing murdering charges and was an under trial inmate in jail.

After his body found by jail officials in his barrack, DSP Satpal Malik and magistrate Rajesh Yadav reached at spot.

The suicide of Parmod has put jail officials in once again question after the incident of eight hard core and heinous criminal inmates escaped allegedly after cutting the grills of the barracks with the help of iron cutters and jumping over the 20 feet boundary wall of jail by a rope on January 18.
