INTER-SCHOOL table tennis tournament for Indore Bank Trophy organised by Indore District Table Tennis Association will begin on July 20 at Abhay Prashal.

INTER-SCHOOL table tennis tournament for Indore Bank Trophy organised by Indore District Table Tennis Association will begin on July 20 at Abhay Prashal.

Team and individual events would be played in five groups— Class I to VI, VII to IX and X to XII.  150 students from 32 schools would take part in the tournament. Interested schools to take part in the tournament may contact Chandrashekar Raghuvanshi at State Bank of Indore Head Office and Sanjay Mehta at Abhay Prashal on or before July 18.

THE FIFTH Open Table Tennis Tournament organised by Indore District Table Tennis Association will begin on July 13 at Siddharth Sports Academy. Interested players to take part in the tournament may contact association president Om Soni.

Kunal wins chess title
KUNAL SAXENA won the seventh monthly one-day chess tournament organised by Friends Chess Club. In the final round Kunal defeated Sanjay Kushwah to win the title. The first three winners are Kunal Saxena, Sanjay Kushwah and Abhishek Gupta.

Junior badminton
MINI JUNIOR district badminton championship organised by Indore District Badminton Association will begin on July 13 at Nehru Stadium.

The winners and runners-up would be selected to represent Indore district badminton team that will take part in the MP junior badminton tournament. Interested players to take part in the tournament may contact association office in Nehru Stadium.

Sunil, Rohit excel
INDORE DISTRICT chess players excelled in the recently concluded International Chess Rating Tournament organised by Cochin University, Ernakulam.

Sunil Soni in the senior category and Rohit Jain in junior category took 4.5 and 5.5 points respectively to bring laurels to Indore district.

Alankar clears course
ALANKAR RAIKWAR of Indore successfully passed the six-week certificate course in sports coaching organised by Sports Authority of India, Netaji Subhas National Institute of Sports in Cricket.

The certificate course was held at LNCPE, Thiruvananthapuram, under mass Sports Participation Progrmme. Indore Blues Club secretary Devakinandan Rikwar and other members of the club have congratulated Alankar for his successful completion of certificate course in cricket.
