LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Wednesday favoured a ban on IPL and demanded a thorough probe in the entire controversy, saying the facts emerging were "very serious".

He described the tournament as a game of "betting" and alleged, "this is a trade of converting black money into white".

Paswan was also for IPL and BCCI being taken over by the government. "Government should take entire responsibility so that some one can be held accountable for such a situation," Paswan said.

Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray today said IPL matches should be stopped to "save" cricket and the source of funding tournament should be probed.
