IPL still going strong on Twitter in its second week; CSK most popular team

The eighth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is still topping the Twitter charts in its second week, although there was a small dip in engagement when compared to the start of the tournament.

62.7 million live impressions were generated during the second week of the IPL, as compared to 74.7 million during the first week.

Chennai Super Kings (@ChennaiIPL) continue to be crowd favourites amongst the teams on Twitter from 16-22 April. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (@KKRiders) are a close second, while Mumbai Indians (@mipaltan) come in third. Given their popularity, the most popular game in the last week was Mumbai Indians vs Chennai Super Kings (#MIvCSK).
