IPS lift Syed Farooq Ali trophy

INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC School (IPS) won the Syed Farooq Ali Memorial Running Trophy at an Information Technology (IT) quiz that was organised at Bal Bhavan here on Saturday. NIIT Bhopal provided technical support.

INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC School (IPS) won the Syed Farooq Ali Memorial Running Trophy at an Information Technology (IT) quiz that was organised at Bal Bhavan here on Saturday. NIIT Bhopal provided technical support.

The team put up a remarkable show in all categories to win the overall championship. Science and Technology Principal Secretary Dilip Mehra was the chief guest on the occasion while Hindustan Times general manager Fehmi Hussain inaugurated the event as guest of honour. A total of 36 leading schools of Bhopal participated in the quiz. The competitions were divided in three categories - senior, middle and junior. The events included extempore power presentation, project display and an IT quiz.

Bal Bhavan was one of the 22 schools in India to win the IT Excellence Award.  Principal Anuradha Joshi highlighted activities and achievements of the Bal Bhavan on the occasion.

Prizewinners in various categories were:

Junior category: First prize-Sanskar Valley School, second prize-Kendriya Vidyalaya-1, third prize - St Montfort School and

appreciation prize – MCEE School International Public School.

Middle category: First prize - Bal Bhavan, second prize - Bal Bharti, third prize- International Public School and
appreciation prize-Sanskar Valley.

Senior category: First prize - All Saints, second prize- Sharda Vidya Mandir, third prize- Scholars’ Home Public School and

appreciation prize - Sagar Public School.
