IPS shine in equestrian contest

THE STUDENTS of Indore Public School excelled in the recently concluded state-level equestrian competition organised at ATPC grounds. Students from Bhopal, Ujjain, Tekanpur, NCC and Indore took part in the championship. 

Anshul Porwal and Sania Gaur won the silver medals in Hex event. In the under school instructor event, Anshul Porwal won silver to bring laurels to his school. School management and principal have congratulated the riders.

Junior weightlifting competition
JUNIOR BOYS and girls’ weightlifting competition organised by the Indore Corporation Area Weight Lifting Association Indore will begin from January 29. The best lifters will represent Indore at the state-level weightlifting competition to be held at Indore from February 4.

CAT beat PF by 6 wickets
CAT DEFEATED Office of the Provident Fund (PF) by six wickets in the Central Employees Welfare Coordination Cricket Tournament played at CAT grounds on Thursday. Batting first, PF batsmen scored 133 runs in 30 overs. Joshi scored 55 and Ravaj scored a useful 31.

Sunil Sharma took three wickets and R K Choudhry took two wickets to help their team bundle out the opponent cheaply. Chasing the target of 134 runs, CAT batsmen had no difficulty in reaching the required runs.

CAT won the match by six wickets. Sunil Sharma and Amit Upadhya scored an unbeaten 29 runs each and Sebastin made 24. Daji and Damore took two wickets each.

Inter-school karate competition
THE INTER-SCHOOL karate competition organised by Yoiung Panther Karate Association will begin on January 28 at Gandhi Hall. The competition will start at 10.30 am and prizes would be distributed at 4.30 pm. Surendra Yadav will distribute the prizes.

Emerald Heights win double crown
EMERALD HEIGHTS International School bagged the boys’ title in the inter-school table tennis tournament organised jointly by Guru Harkrishan Public School and Indore District Table Tennis Association and played in memory of Siddharth Soni at Siddharth Sports Academy.

The final was played between Emerald Heights ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams and ‘A’ team showed their supremacy to lift the title by winning the match 3-0. Emerald won the double crown on Wednesday and the girls’ team won the championship. On Thursday, boys’ team won the championship to win double crown.
