Is your sex life rocking or lousy?

india Updated: Sep 30, 2006 20:04 IST

There might be greater sex liberation in today's society, but couples are still dissatisfied with their sex life, with most of them complaining about the lack of thrilling love-making antics in their bedrooms.

According to a survey in the UK, one in twenty women rate their dull sex life as a 'household chore'.

The survey further showed that a quarter of women in the 25 to 34-year-old age bracket find it difficult to get aroused, and that 45 per cent of women rarely or never make the first move for sex.

One in ten women said they have sex when they do not want it and regularly fake orgasm.

Meanwhile, a quarter of men are snubbed for sex half the time by their regular partners.

Ten per cent of males said that they would consider separation after six months of no sexual pleasure, and 25 per cent claimed that they would consider an affair, revealed Zestra, makers of sexual arousal oils.

“There is real sadness in couples that are living together and really like each other — yet they are having lousy sex lives,” The Sun quoted Marcelle d'Argy Smith, a commentator on sexual relationships, as saying.

The survey also found that one in eight bosses have sex with junior members of staff in the office.

“The workplace is a hotbed of flirtatious fun,” Prof Khalid Aziz said.
