ISI hand possible in Srinagar attack: Pranab
Terrorism could be reduced drastically if their 'launching pad' on the other side of the border are demolished, he said.
Indicating that the ISI may be behind Sunday's terrorist attack in Kashmir, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee said that the incident was an attempt to disrupt the roundtable conference in Srinagar on May 24 and 25.
"May be," Mukherjee said when asked if ISI could have been behind the attack.
He said that the roundtable meeting was fixed for May 24 and 25. The peace process with Pakistan was continuing and two more rounds of talks were scheduled to be held.
"In order to frustrate the peace process, the terrorists want to demonstrate to the world that they exist," he said, adding that it was high time that Pakistan stopped aiding and abetting terrorists from their side of the border.
Terrorist activities could be reduced drastically if their 'launching pad' in camps on the other side of the border are demolished, the Defence Minister said.
"I would like to remind the authorities in Pakistan that terrorists are friends of nobody. Pakistan should condemn and isolate the terrorists," he said.
