ISIS flags reappeared in Srinagar after clashes broke out on Friday between a group of youth and security forces in Srinagar.

The clashes followed the special prayers offered across the Valley on the last Friday of Holy month of Ramadan. The prayers were led by Valley's head cleric and moderate separatist Mirwaaiz Umar Farooq.

According to eyewitnesses, some group of youth waved the controversial flags of Pakistan, Lashker-e-Toiba (LeT) and ISIS. The youth also raised pro-separatist and pro-Pakistani slogans.

The flags have been making repeated appearance in the Valley since the past one year. The police, however, say there is no presence of groups like Taliban or ISIS in the Valley.

The police had to fire tear gas shells to quell the protests. The officials said that the youth also set afire the tricolor.
