ANTARAGNI is different this year. Several new and captivating events, which not only enthralled the audience, but also brought out the latent skills of the students, have found place.
Technocrats-to-be made beautiful designs and tattooes with mehendi. Besides, small mehendi tattoos, they also made eye-catching design on their palms and arms and earned the applause from everyone.
The teams from North East colleges took much interest in the event as applying mehendi is not so popular in their cities.
An event named salsa workshop was a new addition to the cultural festival Antaragni-2006 at the IIT-K. Boys and girls displayed their dancing skills in a hilarious manner.
Team members of various engineering institutions participated in the workshop and presented their dance skills.
Social evils, political satires and Psychological issues affecting the students were the main topic of these street plays.
Teams from various colleges took part in the competition and amused the audience.
The student from different colleges performed various folk dances of their region in their traditional attires. Among different dance performances, Bihu of Assam, Bhangra of Punjab attracted the attention of the audience at the festival most.
This was also for the first time that several IIT-K students danced in a freestyle manner breaking all the norms of various traditional dances mesmerizing the audience.
