It was indeed the D-day for students and parents alike as the ICSE (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education) announced the results of Class 10 and 12 board exams on Tuesday.
All five schools in Gurgaon district affiliated with the board have delivered 100% results with the students of Shri Ram School scoring the highest in the city.
Anshul Kumar Gupta, the city topper with 97% marks, said he does not believe in spending the entire day with books.
"If one studies three to four hours a day with full concentration, success is never far off," Gupta added.
In Lord Jesus Public School, two students — Kritika Sachdeva and Garv Nasija — shared the top rank with 93.8%. In Scottish High International School, Mukund Shah bagged the first position by obtaining 95.2% marks.
"I believe in play hard and study hard," said Mukund who owes his success to his mother for her "constant nagging".
Nishant Kumar, the topper of Euro International School, with 90.7%, said: "I spend five to six hours in studies and I think that this is my secret of success. I never asked for tuitions as I believe that if one listens to his teachers carefully and attend classes regularly, success is just a step ahead."
In Class 12, girls outperformed boys in getting top position.
Rishibha Kaurtra from Shri Ram School bagged the first position with 97.5% marks along with her school mate Nehal Garg who obtained 97.25% in commerce.
Similarly, in Lord Jesus Public School, Yuvika Nasa got the highest 93.6% marks in science stream and Asshna Aggarwal (91.2%) topped in Scottish High International School in commerce stream.
Shikshantra School said its students have scored 94-95% marks.
