The first session of Jammu and Kashmir assembly, after coalition government led by National Conference came into power, will begin in winter capital Jammu from Wednesday.
According to assembly secretary Mohammad Ramzan, Governor N N Vohra issued a notification calling for the joint meeting of legislative assembly and legislative council.
He will also address the joint meeting of both the houses tomorrow and a discussion on vote of thanks on Governor's address would take place on February 26 and 27.
It would be the shortest session of the assembly, lasting for 13 days and ending on March 9.
"The vote on account for 2009-2010 and supplementary statement for 2008-2009 would be presented in the house on March 3," Ramzan said.
A discussion on it would take place the next day while private bills would be presented on March 5 and 6.
Of the elected 87 members of 89-member assembly, Farooq Abdullah and Gulab Nabi Azad have vacated their assembly seats after their election to the upper house of the Parliament.
