Jammu and Kashmir government has asked the state officials and dealers to ensure complete home delivery of LPG in Jammu.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Jammu Ajeet Kumar Sahu gave these directions yesterday during a review meeting with the officers of concerned departments and representatives of various oil agencies here.
The meeting discussed issues regarding the compliance of various directions of Jammu and Kashmir high court and also checking the misuse of subsidised LPG at commercial establishments.
Deputy commissioner took a detailed review of the status of home deliveries of LPG from the representatives of oil companies and emphasis upon them to ensure 100% home delivery of LPG in urban areas including major towns.
He also stressed upon the concerned agencies to ensure preventing spot delivery system within municipal areas and said that any vehicle found involved in spot delivery would be seized.
He directed the oil companies to furnish the details of cylinders issued through home delivery systems as well as instant delivery on monthly basis.
He also asked the oil companies to ensure that Preferred Time Delivery System (PTDS) to be properly advertised.
The DC further said strict action would be taken against the defaulting dealers involved in spot LPG delivery.
He strictly maintained that action against the erring dealers will include cancellation of the agency.
