The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was on Saturday blocked for vehicular traffic due to landslides following heavy rain, official sources said here.

The heavy rains, which have been continuing since Friday night, triggered landslides at Panthial, 170 km from Jammu, this afternoon, they said.

The traffic authorities have stopped the vehicular movement from both sides at Panthial till clearance of the landslides, they said.
Border Roads Organisation (BRO) personnel and machines have also been called to clear the passage and ease the Highway traffic.
