The army arrested a 55-year-old man on Saturday for crossing the Line of Control (LoC) and entering into Indian territory in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mohmmad Sharief was arrested by army troops near a forward area along the LoC (in Mankote belt) of Poonch district on Saturday, a defence spokesperson said.

He had crossed to Pakistan side some time back and was returning back when he was nabbed by troops, the official said, adding that further details are awaited.
