Pakistan on Monday fired along the international border in Arnia sector in Jammu though Border Security Force, BSF, posts were not targeted, an official said.
“Pakistan rangers fired three rounds from small arms. BSF posts were not targeted and we did not fire back,” said a BSF official.
The incident happened hours after a terror attack in Gurdaspur, Punjab, in which 5 people were killed by gunmen who attacked a police station in Dina Nagar.
BSF officials also said there was no infiltration attempt from the Aknoor sector and it is presumptuous to suggest that terrorists had infiltrated from the border in the Jammu region.
