Jammu and Kashmir High Court, monitoring the CBI investigations into the sex racket in Srinagar, on Monday deferred the hearing in the case till Tuesday.
The court will hear counsels for CBI and Kashmir High Court Bar Association, which had filed a public interest litigation, on Tuesday at 10.30 am.
No reasons were given by the CBI and Bar Association counsels for deferment of the proceedings by the division bench of Justices Hakim Imtiyaz Hussain and BA Kirmani.
The proceedings are being held in-camera and the bench issued no orders on Monday.
A lower court also deferred till Wednesday hearing of the bail application of Deputy Inspector-General of BSF KS Padhi, who is under arrest on charges of raping a minor, Yasmeena, in the case.
Chief Judicial Magistrate MY Akhoon deferred the hearing till June 21 after the CBI brought in a standing counsel from Delhi to plead its cases.
Hearing of the bail application of Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohammad Ashraf Mir, also under arrest for allegedly raping Yasmeena, has already been posted for Tuesday.
