J-K: Soldier injured as militants fire at patrol in Shopian

A soldier was critically injured when militants fired at an army patrol in South Kashmir's Shopian district on Wednesday afternoon.

According to reports, a patrol of 44 Rashtriya Rifles was fired upon by the militants at Voterpora in Shopian district.

Eyewitnesses said the army had cordoned off the Thiaraan Imam Sahib area when the militants started firing from an apple orchard.

The jawan received bullet injuries in the neck and was hospitalised in a critical condition.
