The YSR Congress party staged candlelight demonstrations across Andhra Pradesh Monday evening to mark its chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy's one year in jail in connection with illegal assets case.
Holding candles in their hands, the leaders and activists marched in Hyderabad and other towns to protest what they called his continued undemocratic detention.
Jagan, as the Kadapa MP is popularly called, Monday completed one year in jail in the illegal assets case.
His mother and party's honorary president YS Vijayamma led a march at Necklace Road here. Jaganmohan Reddy's other family members, several leaders of the party and a large number of supporters attended the rally.
