Jagdish Guru Awards instituted

‘JAGDISH GURU Smriti Puraskar’ 2005-06 is being instituted in memory of senior journalist and litterateur Jagdish Guru. The award will be given for excellence in Hindi lyrics, ghazals and Hindi journalism.

It will have three categories—for writers up to the age of 40, for writers above 40 and journalists. Writers and journalists can send their applications on a blank paper giving details such as name, address, age, telephone number and enclose two copies of the published book or details regarding contribution in the field of journalism.

The applications can be sent to the director, Jagdish Guru Smriti Puraskar, Maan Bhawan, 24, Patrakar Colony, Link Road No. 3, Kolar Road, Bhopal. The last date of sending applications is October 15.
