Considering he has been loved for his positive roles and performances, Ram Gopal Varma Ke Sholay (we shall use this title till the courts tell Varma and us otherwise) is the first time Amitabh Bachchan is playing an extremely negative character, as Gabbar Singh.

Bachchan is remembered as much as Jai as Vijay, so won’t people find it difficult to accept him as a bad man? This does not seem to worry the superstar.

“Sushant Singh, who’s playing Samba, told me that he felt complimented when people told him that they hated him for being so bad in Jungle. It’s just a character an actor plays, " says the actor.

He further adds, "Pransaab was the ultimate bad man on screen, but in real life he’s one of the best persons you can ever know. Besides, our audience is mature enough to not relate the actor's reel role to him as a person in real life."
