Jaish militant held in North Kashmir

The police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district. According to a police spokesman, after receiving inputs from their sources, the police party laid a barricade in Khawja Bagh area of Baramulla town.

The police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM) militant in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

According to a police spokesman, after receiving inputs from their sources, the police party laid a barricade in Khawja Bagh area of Baramulla town.

“The police party stopped a person and during frisking a pistol and 7 live rounds were recovered from him,” said the spokesman.

The police identified the militant as Javid Ahmed Dar. “He is affiliated to militant outfit JeM,” said the spokesman.
